Just like Daddy

I have started coordinating Carter's clothes with dad. My friend Dawn gave us the baby bow-tie.

David coordinated this all by his self though. I cannot take credit for that.

First Tooth

It snuck up on us. Carter cut his first tooth last week - on the 3rd. Grandma found it. I may not have know he had one yet if she hadn't have been poking around in there. We feel in there often, but apparently not often enough. He wasn't super fussy, no fever, no problems. Let's hope they all come in that way.

Off we go

Carter loves to walk his dogs. He can be super fussy - but as soon as he gets out the door in that stroller, he quiets right up.

Thumb Sucker

I am really trying to keep this out of his mouth. As you can tell, I'm really succeeding. I pull it out, and put his plug (pacifier) in. He doesn't know the difference yet. I just had to get a picture of it though because it is so cute.

We tried cereal again today, and it went much better. He ate the entire bowl full (1 oz). David is much better at feeding him than I am, he has a system that really seems to work.

Carter's First Food

He seemed to enjoy his self with his first cereal. I think he thought we were more comical than anything though.

We were rather conservative with the portions, so he didn't get very messy.

He really just wanted to play with the spoon.

Growing Growing Growing

I found this onesie in his drawer and thought it was really cute.

Then, a week later, I realized that it went with these overalls. I think he's almost grown out of it. (In his new car seat).

Great Great Grandma Lewis

Carter attended his third funeral (almost his fourth) today. His Great Great Grandma Lewis died peacefully just four days after her 96th birthday. She was an amazing woman. She could play a mean Old Rugged Cross on the piano and the organ. She was in pretty good health, as you can see from blog pictures in December. How many people get to say that they knew their Great-Great-Grandmother? Hopefully Carter will know her through us.

What would you do to protect your child?

I read in a magazine that rear facing car seats after one year of age decreases serious injuries and death by FIVE TIMES. I started to do sone investigative work. This is the most of my research in one video. There is so much more information out there, but this really sums it up.

Why would you not?

Carter and his dog

Carter noticed the dogs last week. He thinks they are so funny. They dance for him, and they run around and fight over their toys. He thinks that is just great. But what does he think of them licking him? Not a whole lot. He didn't cry, but he certainly thinks that dog slobber is gross.

Rolling Over

Carter rolled over on Friday. Him and his girlfriend Lydia both rolled on the same day. He doesn't have much that he's reaching for, so he has no incentive to do it again. He just hates being on his tummy.
