Baby's First Christmas

We had a nice Christmas. Carter was passed around a lot and we didn't really keep to his schedule. In turn, he didn't sleep like he usually does, and he was kind of cranky. But for the most part, he was his quiet happy self.

Carter in his Christmas Santa Suit:

The suit grandma got him came with this WAAAAAAY too big hat:

Great Great Grandma Lewis

Carter went to visit his Great Great Grandma Lewis this weekend. She was born in 1914, and is still living at home. She is an amazing woman.

Five generation picture, Great Grandpa Vern is not here any more. I'll try to photoshop him in later:

Uncle Daniel

Carter just loves his Uncle Daniel:

Carter and Lydia

You may have noticed pictures of Lydia before. She is Carter's girlfriend. They were due 3 days apart. However, Lydia only came a week early, compared to Carter's 5 weeks.

She was born 7 lbs 6 oz, and was 19 in long. Carter was 5 lbs 6 oz and 18 3/4 inches. At two months they were both 10 lbs 9 oz, but she was 2 inches taller than he. He has caught up quite nicely. They have play dates every day. Here are some of the pictures that Lydia's mom Chandra took for me:

He's just playing it cool, trying to woo her.

He's such a ladies' man, winking at her already. Good for you Lydia, keep those boys at bay.

The End of My Career

It is with heavy heart that I announce the end of my career. I loved working at Financial Pacific Leasing. They are a great company to work for. However, I need to be home more with Carter. He needs a mommy, not a skilled caretaker. He will learn more from me than any teacher can teach him.

I cannot completely give up work - it is not financially viable. I can be with him more by cutting back my hours though. Unfortunately, my company does not have a place for part time employees.

New Adverture, here I come.

Greatest Santa Ever

Baby Carter went to visit Santa for the first time at the Old Cannery - my favorite furniture store ever. We waiting in line for an hour and 20 minutes. They were very busy. It was very worth it though. We could not wake him up for anything. He did end up waking up on the way out. We got some cute pictures.
